Could Majorca be your Ideal Holiday Destination?

When most people think of Spain, they think of Ibiza, with its reputation for being a party island and a cheap holiday destination for families. Majorca tends to get overlooked, but is an amazingly pretty island that could rival its sisters, Menorca and Ibiza quite easily. One hour ahead of GMT, the flights take around 2 to three hours from the UK, and the climate is mostly good, ranging between 14 and 31 degrees throughout the year. As with the hotels in Majorca however, the best situated apartments, and those with the best prices, will book up fast so dont leave it until the last minute.

For those more interested in the Spanish lifestyle, culture and architecture theres a wide range to explore. With zoos, museums and more, theres something for all ages and abilities. If you would prefer an area unspoiled by the usual tourist activity, Camp de Mar is a great choice. This hasnt been added to most package holiday tours as yet and so offers an off the beaten track feel, whilst still maintaining a very high standard of accommodation. Especially recognised for the locality of high quality golf courses, this resort is mainly in house entertainment and designed for those looking to just relax, rather than fill their days with activities.

Other hotels in Majorca offer great features such as a balcony overlooking the ocean, or a menu of spa treatments available in-house, so make sure you check out the features of each Majorca hotel before making your reservation. Some smaller Majorca hotels may not offer an evening restaurant service, others may offer only a continental breakfast so do your research before you book! If you dont want to stay in one of the many hotels in Majorca, you could consider a Majorca apartment for your holiday stay. Apartments in Majorca go from the basic small one room apartment to a more exclusive multi-room villa located near the beach. Think about what you will need the apartment for, and what your budget is before making a final decision. There are many opportunities to explore Spanish culture and lifestyle whilst in Majorca.

Whatever your age, and whatever youre looking for in a holiday, Majorca is a great destination. Its a place you can visit as a 18-30s single person to enjoy the night and beach life, then again with your family once youre more settled down, and later as an older person more interested in golf than grooving the night away!
